Our Lake District Summer Itinerary - April to October
- Train departs from London Euston Station 8:00AM and includes return Standard Class Tickets and Seat Reservations

Meet your Sightseeing Tour representative when you arrive at Euston Station where you will be given your train tickets and schedule for the day, you will then board the train and enjoy a relaxing trip to Oxenholme which is situated in the popular and stunning Lake District National Park.
Once you have arrived at Oxenholme and departed the train, you will meet your local tour guide for the day who will escort you around the Lake District. You will take in Lake Coniston on a wonderful cruise and then be taken to the medieval village of Hawkshead where you will experience the stunning whitewashed houses, and be able to walk along the cobbled streets of the village. You will then head onto Wray Castle, the castle was built back in the 1840's and is in a Gothic Revival style and was also a popular holiday destination for Beatrix Potter when she was a child. You also cannot forget that Wray Castle has some stunning views of Lake Windermere and is the ideal location for some wondeful photos.
One of the key attractions of this day tour to the Lake District, is that you will have afternoon tea at the Home of Beatrix Potter... now known as Lindeth Howe Country Hotel.
Once you have finished your afternoon tea, you will then be escorted back to Oxenholme Station where you will board your train back to London Euston Station.

- Take a Tour through the stunning and scenic Yewdale Valley
- See the Waterhead overlooking Lake Windermere
- Rydal Mount & Gardens
- You will have some time to yourself in Bowness,
- Option to visit the World of Beatrix Potter (please be aware this is not included in your tour price)
Meet your Sightseeing Tour representative when you arrive at Euston Station where you will be given your train tickets and schedule for the day, you will then board the train and enjoy a relaxing trip to Oxenholme which is situated in the popular and stunning Lake District National Park.
Once you have arrived at Oxenholme Station you will be met by your local tour guide for the day who will escort and assist you on your day trip around the Lake District. If you are a fan of Beatrix Potter and Wordsworth then this tour is ideal for you, you will visit the most popular places linked to these great writers. The tour will take you North where you will travel alongside the scenic Lake Windermere towards Waterhead, from there you will head towards the popular medieval village of Hawkshead, you will be given time to wonder the cobbled streets of this wondeful village and see the beautiful whitewashed houses. You will then move on to the popular beauty spot of Tarn Hows, this is an ideal place for photos and then onto a scenic drive through Yewdale, taking in Yew Tree Tarn and the Skelworth Bridge. Your next stop is the home of the renowned poet William Wordsworth, Rydal Mount and Gardens is charming and you will have time to experience a wonderful cream tea before then setting off to Bowness where you will once more have some free time to wander around this beautiful village.
From Bowness you will then head back to Oxenholme Station where you will board the train back to London Euston.
* Please be aware that this tour is unescorted on the train from London to the the Lake District and back, once in the Lake District you will be escorted by a local tour guide.
